Remember…
Keep your thoughts positive,
Thoughts become your words.
Keep your words positive,
Words become your behaviors.
Keep your behaviors positive,
Behaviors become your habits.
Keep your habits positive,
Habits become your values.
Keep your values positive,
Values become your destiny.

How do you start your morning — do you hit the snooze button 2 or 3 times, then jump up at the last minute? Do you set a world record for the fastest shower, throw on some clothes, then wolf down hot coffee and stale donut in the car while you make last minute grooming adjustments? On your commute are you listening to talk radio that’s telling you the world is just about to end (stay tuned …) or speaker rattling music designed to lifted your begrumbled morning spirits on the way to being late again to the office? And, do you ever wonder if there’s a better way to get going every day? Continue Reading

DON’T READ THIS…unless you have a tendency to put things off. If you are inhuman and promptly do every task and assignment you need to, no matter how tiresome, tedious, boring, or gross it may be, then by all means, stop reading now. You are wasting your time. However, if you are like the vast majority of people in the world, then this article may be for you.

You’re used to “the news” by now in the last few years: “This is a tough environment.” “Unemployment continues to rise.” “People are working harder than ever with less to show for it.” By regularly listening to the news you may start to question whether the sky is actually falling. (Don’t worry — it isn’t.)
High achievers know it’s critical to maintain a positive mental outlook, no matter what’s going on around them. So how do you develop and maintain this attitude? Here are some ideas I use personally to stay positive in a negative world: Continue Reading

For our whole lives, we as men have been told to measure success by the contents of our bank account or the quantity of expensive “toys” we’ve accumulated. Pardon me, but I beg to differ.
For me, success is about: Continue Reading

“Find something you love to do and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.”
Harvey MacKay
I realized early on I had a distaste for doing tasks I didn’t find fun, and didn’t want to buy into the common notion, “You have to do things you don’t like — that’s life.” I’ve always been one to “question authority,” or at least question the assumptions others put forward about “the way it is.” And I took on the challenge of figuring out how I was going to make a living doing only things that I wanted to do, and that I enjoyed, so that I could play every day.
I began by taking a look at how I could turn my “work” into a game. Continue Reading

With the plenary of philosophers and self-improvement gurus in all forms of media, it is amazing how many times a day are we informed that all we need to do is, have a dream and go after it. Many of our clients have told us that Partnering is the secret to success. Well I hate to rain on your parade, but there is no secret. Continue Reading

What about self-reliance? When did that go out of vogue?
How about the American privilege to succeed or fail? Must everyone have a safety net placed two inches below their feet? Don’t you think such a safety net will dismantle one’s desire to succeed—one’s passion to succeed—one’s will to succeed? Where does responsibility fit in? Why must fish be given to the lazy? Isn’t it better to teach them how to fish?
I personally believe in paying community rent. Continue Reading
